    Details: Celebrate the legacy of Kate Spade and the enduring bond of lifelong friendship at the Ebenezer Theater on Tuesday, September 9 at 4:30pm, as bestselling author and fashion entrepreneur Elyce Arons shares stories from her memoir We Might Just Make It After All: My Best Friendship with Kate Spade. Arons, cofounder of Kate Spade and CEO of Frances Valentine, reflects on her decades-long bond with Spade and their rise from college roommates to fashion pioneers. Start the celebration with a Frances Valentine trunk show at Windswept Clothiers from 1–3pm, then head to the Ebenezer Theater for the main event.     The Art and Science of Conservation: A Panel Discussion with Tom Horton and Acclaimed Authors

    Details: Join legendary journalist Tom Horton at the Ebenezer Theater for a thought-provoking conversation on the powerful intersection of storytelling and environmental science. In celebration of the 100th anniversaries of the Talbot County Free Library and UMCES, Horton will moderate a panel with Creature Needs contributors Kyoko Mori and Christopher Kondrich—two award-winning authors featured in the new anthology where writers respond to animal conservation studies through essays, poems, and stories. Admission is free with registration; doors open at 1:30pm, and the first 50 attendees will receive a free copy of the book. A community reception and book signing will follow. Presented by Shore Lit in partnership with the Talbot County Free Library, the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science, and the Prager Family Center for the Arts.
